NSLVE National Data
The National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE) has produced data on voter registration and turnout for every midterm and presidential election since 2016.
Colleges and universities receive individual tailored reports with data on their students' voter participation. Those reports are private and can only be shared by each institution at its discretion.
NSLVE also produces reports with national data on student- and institution-level voter registration and turnout. These reports, Democracy Counts, include data by race, gender, field of study, academic year, institution type (e.g., community colleges, research universities, minority-serving and women’s colleges, state universities, and private institutions) that reveal trends in college students' civic engagement and can inform both educational efforts and further research.
We expect to release our national report for the 2024 election later in 2025.
